The gears at the Grind Factory are in motion like never before! A new year means endless opportunities are taking place. As the Big Boss KTEK says, ‘2019 is UNLIMITED.’ With so many gears grinding, it’s hard to know where to begin!
Performances…
KTEK ended 2018 with a start in a new direction. A performance in Miami Beach, Florida at MIAMI LIVE! had KTEK, along with the Grind Queens, Lady Kayne, and DedaBoo, putting on a show that surprised everyone in attendance. The crowd expected these Atlanta natives to bring that Dirty South music the city is known for. Instead, they were introduced to a completely different sound and got a show, not a performance. The energy brought to the stage by the Grind Gang blew everyone’s mind! DJ Killa K, the show host, was definitely feeling the vibe!
The Grind Queens started the New Year with a hot performance in Atlanta at Vinyl @ Center Stage! The duo, consisting of Lady Kayne and DedaBoo, the first ladies of The Grind Factory, were backed by the Big Boss himself, KTEK. In an industry of female rappers looking to become the next Cardi B or Nicki Minaj, these ladies hold their own, setting the stage for the next generation of female artists by drawing listeners to their unique sound. Both artists take their music seriously, writing their own lyrics to make sure each song delivers a message meant to empower female listeners with the reality of life, love, being a woman in a man’s world, and holding their own.
New Music…
With so many wheels in motion, it means it’s time for things to change. For the Grind Factory, that means NEW MUSIC! With the number of performances during 2018, it is time to retire the catalog and introduce a new sound. In true Grind Factory fashion, KTEK and the World Famous DJ Brad have been at work since the start of the year, each doing individual and joint lock-ins. The result? Two amazing albums in less than a month! KTEK himself recorded 14 songs in 18 days…that’s what you call GRINDING! Keep your ears open and ready…this new music if FIRE!
