The Grind Factory reached a major milestone with the release of the anticipated album, 'THE BOSS AND THE LEGEND'! This is what happens when extremely talented artists/producers, KTEK and DJ Brad, have a vision and grind to make it happen!
The duo celebrated the epic release with a listening party hosted by The Grind Factory at Studio Space Atlanta. Family, friends, and fans were treated to food, drinks, and hot music! After mixing and mingling, a private listening session gave KTEK and DJ Brad a chance to introduce each track and share what inspired the lyrics. Listeners were asked to write notes sharing their thoughts about each track. The feedback was amazing! As a result, the crowd got to select what song will be the first video from the EP…'PLAYA SH*T!'
What makes a Boss and a Legend?
KTEK’s grind is what makes him BOSS. With over 21 years of experience in the industry, he has honed his skills as Producer and Engineer by working with hundreds of artists, often collaborating with his top clientele. What started in a home-based studio evolved into the need to expand his services to more Indie Artists. In 2015 he took his knowledge and experience to East Point, Georgia where The Grind Factory Studios was born. His reputation grew, drawing artists to The Grind Factory for its unique energy and sound. As an artist, KTEK has released multiple albums and singles, growing a following that is worldwide. His most popular single to date, 'F*CK TRUMP' has over 500,000 plays! He has performed at multiple venues, such as the 34th Annual Sweet Auburn Springfest (Atlanta, GA), Trust The Process 2 Undefeated Tour (Furnace 41, Jonesboro, GA), A3C Most Wanted (Pauly’s Crepe Bar-Atlanta, GA), Miami LIVE! (Miami, FL), and SXSW 2019 (Lazy Daze-Austin, Austin, TX).
The title of LEGEND isn’t easy to come by. The journey to the title of World Famous DJ Brad began as an after-school hobby that turned into a life-long career. From mixtapes to DJing his Junior prom and beyond, when word spread that DJ Brad was on the 1’s and 2’s, everyone was there, shutting down the club. In 2002 he joined forces with other DJs in the ATL and formed the Legendary Legion of Doom DJs. The group is known for breaking unknown artists into the mainstream by featuring them on mixtapes, spinning their music in the club or on the radio. He earned the title, World Famous DJ Brad by being one of the most-booked tour DJs in the South. He has toured with some of the biggest names in R&B, such as Syleena Johnson, Monica, Chrisette Michele, Jamie Fox, T-Pain, Anthony Hamilton, Missy Elliot, Toni Braxton, Big K.R.I.T., and many more.
The day the Producer and the DJ got together, a new sound was born.
Mutual respect grew as they shared their production and recording skills. Production sessions turned into freestyling and recording. Before long, KTEK and DJ Brad collaborated on their first track, 'COME TALK TO ME', which was featured on 'DJ BRAD PRESENTS THE UNDERGRIND' (Mixtape, 2018). Inspired by the chemistry, DJ Brad continued to produce tracks that KTEK jumped on before they could be completed, creating a style of music that is New School with an Old School Flava. Several singles later, they decided it was time to take their talents to the next level.
As boss and legend in the music industry, they realized something was missing. With today’s music trends leaning toward hot singles instead of themed albums, the duo decided to bring that Old School sound back. They challenged one another to do more than they’ve ever done before. The result? Ten of the hottest tracks to come out of the Grind Factory Studios!
